People say that the fireproof of a relationship is to take a trip together. In this case, Ju and Sven are professionals. They have a beautiful family and they all live abroad.

I can say that my friendship with this incredible couple happened naturally. When they arrived in Pretoria and started to make friends, people used to ask me: Have you met Ju? You will love thing.

Our friends were right, we have things in common and the invitation to shoot Sven’s first birthday in South Africa came soon after that. It was an intense experience, with several unexpected moments (yeah, we are dealing with kids in this case!) and sensational memories. All happened in the warmth of their home.

The result is a candid portrait of what really happened at the party, without my interference.

Once again, I could understand my purpose and thanked the paths that photography brough to me and specially the people who came with it. Often, the time we spend together is brief but intense, to the point of being unforgettable and just as important as other stories.

We are all made of them.
