First time parents, I have met Levinia and Nathan through a friend in common at the Market Photo Workshop, in Johannesburg.
Both of them work with at the Art Space and they are reference in what they do. So, I was really happy to chosen to photograph this intimate and exciting moment for their family.
Levinia and Nathan have a beautiful apartment with modern details and many charming corners. Pretty much everything has someone story or meaning behind, so special. We chose to photograph them in their space which is filled up with great memories. They wanted to document the love they are feeling for their newborn son Davidlee, I’m sure it will be delicious to return to these images when he is grown boy.
I have spent some hours with them during a beautiful summer afternoon in order to portray their new daily routine.
And all of this was done with natural light, seeking honest moments and poetic images.
